NATRAHEA PODIATRY @ TRIPLEONE SOMERSET
The TripleOne Somerset Podiatry Specialist Clinic adopts a comprehensive approach in treating foot conditions, with the intention to rebalance and correct foot abnormalities and injuries for improved overall function. Our podiatrists adopt a multi-pronged approach in treatment with custom-built orthotic devices, physical therapy for injury rehabilitation or strengthening, and by educating patients on lifestyle and footwear choices that will help to improve their podiatry issues.
COMMON PODIATRY CONDITIONS: BUNIONS A bunion is a painful bump that often develops at the base of the big toe, causing the big toe to be pushed towards the other toes. The bunion forms around the joint that bends when the patient walks, and this can cause pain because weight is being applied on the swollen joint. Often, the protruding joint also causes calluses to form as it rubs against shoes.
Bunions can be treated with custom-built orthotic devices, the appropriate footwear and certain bunion pads to relieve painful symptoms.
COMMON PODIATRY CONDITIONS: FLAT FEET Flat foot conditions require treatment when it causes arch and heel pain to the patient. Flat foot pain may make it difficult to partake in physical activity and may cause swelling around the ankle.
Flat feet can be supported with custom-built orthotic devices and physical therapy where the foot will be strengthened and stretched to improve mobility and function.
COMMON PODIATRY CONDITIONS: WARTS Plantar warts are growths that occur areas of the feet that bear weight and experience friction. The warts are caused by the HPV and often present as warts when the virus enters the body through small cuts on the foot.
Plantar warts are not a severe heath concern and can be treated with peeling treatment such as salicylic acid or freezing treatment such as cryotherapy
